Frida, Finance: “There’s something special about working together towards a common goal”

Team WFI continues to grow! On 3 August, we welcomed Frida Kullberg to the team. Frida joins our finance and purchasing department as an accountant, bringing valuable experience in finance. Most recently, she spent five years working as an accounting consultant at an accounting firm. So far, what she appreciates most about working at WFI is getting a closer look at how the business operates and being part of a team working towards a common goal. We caught up with Frida to get to know her a little better!

From selling homes to crunching numbers
With a curiosity about people and a love of beautiful homes, Frida studied to become a real estate agent in 2009. After a few years in the industry, she decided to take her career in a new direction and move into finance, building on the foundation she had gained during her real estate studies. She then spent five years working in finance at a company in the Gnosjö region, before moving on to a role as an accounting consultant at an accounting firm, where she spent another five years.

–   Having worked both at an accounting firm and within a company, I can say that I enjoy both, but there’s something special about everyone being part of the same business. You work more closely together, get a better understanding of what’s happening across the company, and work towards a common goal. It creates a different sense of community. And since 3 August, I’m happy to be part of that community here at WFI! Frida says.

–   I’ve been given such a warm welcome and already feel like part of the team. There’s a great atmosphere with plenty of laughs, which makes coming to work that much more enjoyable, Frida continues.

Finance across the group
A typical workday for Frida includes handling incoming and outgoing payments, matching supplier invoices, and managing day-to-day bookkeeping. Her role covers not only WFI but also the other companies within Enhult Group, giving her a broad understanding of how the organisation operates.

–   I enjoy keeping track of the numbers and find the variety of finance work really engaging. Compared to working as a consultant, I appreciate being more involved in the wider business and staying in close contact with different teams, from the warehouse and purchasing to order management and sales. It’s not just about focusing on the finances, but also about seeing how everything fits together. That’s both interesting and rewarding, Frida concludes.

How would you describe WFI as an employer?
-   I’d describe the atmosphere as welcoming, friendly, and open. WFI is a great company where people genuinely care about one another, all the way from management to colleagues.

Your favourite memory at WFI so far?
-   Our kickoff in September was great! It’s always fun to get away together as a team and celebrate milestones when we reach them

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
-   I spend a lot of time with my family, take the kids to their activities, and read quite a few books with my book club. We started out as a mixed group of friends back in 2020 and still meet every six weeks to talk about books and life. It’s a lovely part of my everyday life!
