Anton, warehouse worker: “The team spirit means more than I could have imagined”

We continue introducing the latest additions to our strong warehouse line-up, and next up is Anton Linder, who put on the WFI jersey and joined the team in January 2026. Anton grew up in Gnosjö and most recently spent several years working as a delivery driver. After returning from a nearly five-month solo road trip across the United States, the opportunity at WFI came along – and he became part of our warehouse team.

“I felt like part of the team right away”
After completing the Technology Programme in upper secondary school, Anton went straight into working life. Over the following two and a half years, he worked as a delivery driver in Gnosjö, where he was responsible for a variety of deliveries, including school meals to local preschools. After several years behind the wheel, he felt a growing desire to experience something new. That curiosity marked the beginning of a nearly five-month journey across the United States.

–   I had seen the whole van life concept quite a bit on social media and became fascinated by it. When I started thinking about taking a longer trip, I felt it was a now-or-never opportunity. If I didn’t do it then, I knew I’d regret it later. So, I flew to Denver, bought a van with a bed and a small kitchen, and spent the next four and a half months travelling on my own. I got to meet lots of people and visit places I had wanted to experience for a long time. It was an amazing journey and something I would love to do again in the future, Anton says.

–   When I left for the trip, I had already resigned from my previous job, so when I returned home, I knew it was time to find something new. That’s when Affe got in touch and told me that WFI was looking for people for the warehouse team. The timing couldn’t have been better, and once I started, it only took a few days before I felt like part of the team, Anton continues.

Varied workdays in a fast-paced environment
At the warehouse, Anton’s responsibilities range from order picking and packaging to preparing and finalizing shipments for delivery. And every workday starts with a strong cup of coffee.

–   What I enjoy most are actually the larger orders and projects. I don’t know if I’m the only one who feels this way, but I get into a kind of flow where time passes much faster. I also like being involved throughout the entire process – from planning and picking to packing and preparing everything for shipment. But the best part of the job is definitely my colleagues. I’ve never experienced this kind of team spirit in a workplace before, and it means far more than I could ever have imagined, Anton concludes.

Three fast questions with Anton!

How would you describe WFI as an employer?
-   I had a good feeling about WFI even before I started, and that has definitely been proven right. You can tell that the company genuinely cares about its employees – with everything from extra good breakfasts when we reach our goals to fun team activities.

What do you prefer to do in your free time?
-   Just like the rest of the guys in the warehouse, football takes up a lot of my free time since we all play together for Kulltorps GoIF. Other than that, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, taking it chill, and travelling.

Your best memory from WFI so far?
-   Our after-work bowling tournament was great fun! Partly because I was in good form and only missed out on beating Rasmus by three points, but also because it was my first proper after-work event at a workplace ever.
