Over 30 years of experience in production management
After completing a high school education in economics and trying out a few different jobs, Andreas found his way into production – initially thanks to learning how to operate CNC machines at just the right time. That expertise earned him a Production Manager position at the age of 20, and that is where it all began.
– I would say that it was a combination of luck and skill that set me on this path – I happened to be in the right place, with the right knowledge, at the right time. Since then, things have just kept moving forward, and I have had the chance to work in a variety of industries. Along the way, I have been involved in the production of everything from planer benches and houses to dry cleaning products and bathroom interior. It has been incredibly fun and educational in every way, Andreas begins.
– This is not the first time I have worked together with Johan and Henke. Between 2017 and 2022, I was employed at a former sister company to WFI. Unlike my previous experience working mainly with wood components, it was exciting to work with a new material, wire in this case. My role was primarily focused on building up the company’s production and operations. Since then, I have always had a good relationship with the management at WFI, so when the opportunity arose, it felt like a natural step to join the team here. Partly because I was curious about the Warehouse Manager role at this company, and partly because I believe in their vision moving forward, Andreas continues.
Elevating the warehouse department with new routines and visions
In his new role as Warehouse Manager, Andreas primarily focuses on planning and coordinating warehouse operations, both regarding day-to-day activities and future development. Overall, his mission is to elevate the warehouse organization, improve efficiency, and build capacity for larger volumes.
– We are still in the early stages of finding smart ways forward. Right now, for example, we are focusing on creating structure around picking the right item at the right time and in the right way. That is what I enjoy most about my job, building new routines, refining processes, and working to improve efficiency. Beyond that, I really appreciate the mix here, the variety between project and standard sales, as well as the variation between strategic and hands-on work. It is a workplace where having fun is important too, and I truly value that balance, Andreas concludes.
